No. PaalUp is a platform that connects riders and facilitates shared rides. Currently, matched riders can choose between Uber or Lyft

Yes and No. Yes, because you can match with someone for a future ride on PaalUp. However, since Uber and Lyft do not currently permit pre-booking multi-stop rides, PaalUp is effectively a real-time shared ride platform. We hope to have an integration with ridesharing platforms that will facilitate seamless pre-booking of shared rides

Since we currently have Uber and Lyft as the primary ridesharing platforms, you can use PaalUp wherever Uber and Lyft operate. We aspire to be global and interoperable with all ridesharing platforms

Not at the moment. You can only share a ride with another party

Not at the moment. Since we currently only facilitate real time shared rides, you can’t have multiple requests. As our integrations with ridesharing platforms improve and future rides can be pre-booked, users will be able to pre-book and share multiple rides. Imagine being able to pick whom you share your ride to work/school/wherever with M-F

Yes. This option is available in your “Previous Matches” tab

We’ll send you a push notification ahead of time giving you the option to extend departure time.

No. We only allow chatting between people who have matched.

Currently, it’s the first passenger to complete the Covid affirmations after a match has been made. That individual will have a “Schedule Ride” button in the chat window from which they can make a ridesharing platform selection
